Please take note of additional information added to the project details (link to the information can be found on my siggy), updates 23-Apr-2008. The project information are revised and updated due to issues and concern from members @ gongyoolover multiply blog as well as Jasmine's concern regarding the content in sealed envelopes.

Also, a clarification regarding problem that Gong Yoo is facing. The problem he mention in his latest message does not imply that it is because of letters or gifts from fans (soldiers are allowed to receive letters), but because of media reporting about his message. In his message, he mention a little bit about his duties which we believe is a sensitive issues when it comes to military.

Due to the problem he got himself into, he seems to suffer from mild depression. Thus, fans feels that it is better to keep sending letters to him. Like what was mentioned in yooko's analysis, since he has been receiving lots of letters and gifts all these while, sudden drop will certainly makes him worried. He might feel more depressed than he already does and that may cause him to feel lonely, left out and forgotten. Severe depression is not good for him because it will somehow affect his duty and performance.

However, we never expect him to read his letters immediately or in one go. He can keep the letters and read it during his free time or whenever he feels down so that he can find comfort, encouragement and assurance from fans. Since he is not able to go on the net very frequently, letters will be source of support for him.

Therefore, to avoid any chances of him getting into trouble, especially because of our love for him, we strongly encourage members to comply with the rules we added.

This will be a long update. Please take note.

Due to issues/concerns being raised @ gongyoolovers multiply blog and also Jasmine's concern about the content of the package she is sending over to Gong Yoo, we have come out with additional rules/information that YOOGals should follow.

1. YOOgals are encouraged to submit letters to Gong Yoo through collection centers set up by groups. For example here, YOOMansion or GongYooLover@Multiply. Other centers we know about would be through gongyooptt blog, popcornfor2, OC's blog or a Korean fan called "yoo-miz". This is done to reduce the amount of letters flowing in to the unit's mail section, just in case it will lead to problem for Gong Yoo. Sending individual letters directly may be the fastest way to reach him, but it also increase the chances of him getting into trouble if the amount of letters received are too many.

2. If possible, all letters or message him should be short and contain words of encouragement and care or jokes/comics to cheer him up.

3. Do not associate him with another actress, do not intrude his privacy, do not imply to him anything that is beyond our control or unreasonable that might upset him.

4. Strictly no gifts or photos. If you wish to send him gifts, please direct them to Gong Yoo's talent agency, "SidusHQ". Below are the reasons why gifts, photos and other items are not allowed in this project:

i) Postage fees for courier service differs depending on weight, size of package and it's contents. Since this is a letter project, postage will be calculated based on "document package". If there is other items included in the package other than documents, the postage will be very much higher.

ii) Custom declaration form is required for anything that goes out of Singapore. Jasmine has to provide her passport number in the form. Therefore, please do not attach anything in your sealed letter.

iii) Scanning/X-ray will be done for all packages. If SingPost or KoreaPos found out that the contents differ from the declaration form, the package will be returned to the sender. In worst scenario, the sender will be held responsible for the package. Therefore, YOOGals please remember not to send other things other than letter.

iv) When doing the scanning, if they find out that the postage is under paid, the whole package may be returned as well.

v) Gong Yoo has limited space to store his gifts.

We hope members will keep in mind all these notes and help each other in supporting Gong Yoo without causing any complications for him as well as for Jasmine. And for those who had sent or planning to send letters directly to him by-passing collection centers available, please try to refrain from doing so.
