Session with Park Na Rae and Hong Soon Mok
Relating to strange event, Ggong mention about his experience of receiving cash as a gift from a fan. Of course, this case is very seldom.
One day, he received some cash (almost 300,000 KRW) from a fan. She seems to want Ggong to treat his staffs with this cash after filming. However, it was hidden at the bottom of a shoe box so Ggong was only able to find it after a long time had passed. He was very shocked when he found it. He didn't know there was cash when he got it.

Ggong added that of course he knows he should not give the gifts from his fans to other people, but if he had gave the shoe to his cousin without knowing there was cash inside, then it would be big trouble.. hu hu hu. Therefore, since then, he tends to unpack his gifts as soon as he received it these days.


Session with Jung Yup
While talking about JY's tone of voice as singer who is special, not comparing to others. JY had wanted to sing a certain R&B style of songs before he was famous, but another singer, Solid, used that style first before JY did. So, JY regretted that he wasn't able to sing that way first. Therefore, Ggong mentioned that it is important to do certain things first. As a compliment, Ggong added that JY also has a unique voice and he will have JY's songs as pre-natal music. Ggong sang part of JY's song "you are my lady...". He then teased naughtily that the baby will be having the voice of R&B and Soul style.

[13-May-2009] Summary for Monday, 11-May-2009

It is rainy day in Seoul today. In weather like this, Ggong wants to drink soju. These days, it tend to rain on every Monday. He wanted to rest and feel relaxed with his DJ-ing today, but changed his mind to do his best again, so he became energetic.


Ggong and Stars
Psy is on leave tonight, so Kim Jae Won (KJW) came as "Ggong and Stars" guest.
Many KJW's fans sent in their SMS.
They were talking about KJW's low voice. Ggong and many fans like his voice, but KJW said his voice sounds a little sleepy if listener continue to listen to his voice. Therefore, Ggong said, "Then, let's make all listeners fall asleep before 9:45PM." He then teased, "From now on, we have to change Gong Yoo's bookmark to KJW's.", because listeners can sleep easily and quickly.
Ggong compliments KJW's handsome face eventhough he has army haircut. Ggong added that he himself always has army cut so that he can show his handsome forehead. Then KJW compliments Ggong that in the camp, Ggong is the most handsome soldier.

Now they are talking about Cheolwon. When Ggong left the place, his juniors wrote many letters (like a love note) to him. He was very touched by his juniors. Ggong felt his juniors were really cute and familiar with him when they hugged and hang on to him. His juniors even say that if they finish their MS, they will support Ggong quietly from behind. And they also said that they are very pleased to have the normal Ggong hyung, not an actor.

Today, KJW is quite witty and teased Ggong saying something like "Ggong will scold him tonight". So, Ggong said that he don't want to have his junior as a guest in his radio show...Ggong said "Aigoo... sangbyung die..." (A Korean expression meaning that KJW is "killing"/cornering Ggong all around, not giving him space to fight back)

SMS/ We want KJW to continue to corner Ggong, even though Ggong will be "dead" now.. keke

Talking about life in camp, KJW sleeps next to Tony An. KJW said, "In the camp, Gong Yoo's body looks like Hercules. Therefore, NO one change or wear their clothes in front of Gong Yoo Sangbyung nim!!"

Towards the end of the session, Ggong told KJW to wait for him to go back to their camp together. Then KJW replied, "Yes, sir!! I will wait wearing soldier's war suit". (KJW continue teasing and cornering "Ggong boss" till the end, and he knows that Ggong will make give him some training/lecture as "punishment"..)

[18-May-2009] Summary for Best Music 14-May-2009

Hong Soon Mok asked Ggong and lady MC a quiz question which require them to arrange the answers based on some animals. Ggong's result came out to be that the most important thing in the world for him is love, not money or other things... Ggong said it's because he's a romantist.

Then Ggong read a message from a fan/viewer. In the message, she mentioned about Ggong's hair growing longer and longer these days... So, she asked whether Ggong was having sexy/naughty thoughts. (In Korea, if someone is having some sexy/naughty thoughts, people will tease that their hair would grow longer faster as a joke.)
HSM get to corner Ggong. Then Ggong tried to explain the reason being that he consumed a lot of protein, thus his hair naturally tends to grow faster than others.
HSM then said that Ggong likes to be alone in the camp, so Ggong maybe always having sexy/naughty thoughts while he was alone. Ggong tried stop HSM's teasing by finishing the session touching lady MC's arm ushering her to hurry say together "Let's play the MV - movie start."

Session with Jung Yup

They are about to play the first song before introducing the musician today. So, they want listeners to guess who the person is by sending in SMS. Seems like they are pretending to have live broadcast.. haha.

After the first song "What's going on" was played, they introduced the musician as Marvin Gaye. Ggong acted as if this guest is with them in the studio, so he pretend to speak to in English to MG like "What's going on?", "Hi Marvin Gaye! I'm not a gay." and "Sit down please, thank you.".

Eventually, Ggong got to know that this musician had died. Therefore, Ggong said sorry to him and apologised for the way he had reacted and added that he only get to know about the musician for the first time from JY today. He made the joke because he thought that MG is still alive and they have been creating an atmosphere for this session.

MG was a father of Soul Music. He was shot dead by his dad who was a priest. His dad had a brain tumor (Of course, it might happened by accident...)

They came to talk about guns... Ggong and JY commented about atmosphere in USA, where at certain place like Harlem, they seem to take human life lightly.... They were so relieved that their country doesn't allow one to keep a gun because it is illegal.

MG usually sang about black people's issue, human rights and unemployment problems.. but he made people surprised with this album "Let's Get It On".

So, they played the song "Let's Get It On".
JY said that based on a research done in England, this song is the second in the list of songs which couples like to listen to before going to bed.... And the song on top of the list is "Sexual Healing". Ggong pretends to understand the lyrics and said that it's really dirty and sexual... They listened to the song thinking about the lyrics, and Ggong wondered why couples like to listen to the song when they are about to go to bed because he thought that the rhythm of the song was very sticky (ahh.. how did unnie explain "sticky" already? =P) this word comes from direct Korean expression when one can feel sexy,like a jazzy sound of music sometimes in such a mood.for couples, but it was very active to hear something like "get up~ get up~" in the lyrics. JY then said to Ggong, "Then, what were you thinking/guessing??". keke..

Anyway, MG had also divorced with his wife many times and in the end he was addicted to cocaine... MG died just one day before his birthday, killed by his dad.


Tonight's book mark is excerpt from Abraham Lincoln's diary...
After reading, Ggong commented, "Who will take care of ourselves, unless we take care, give encouragement and compliment to ourselves... So I should give myself compliment because I did a good job during the week before I have a rest on weekend. But it's a problem that I tend to be very stingy to give myself a compliment."

Message from listener

She has a 5 year old daughter who goes to kindergarten. But she didn't want to go to school recently and she's eating so much.
Her mom met up with her daughter's ex-boyfriend and his mom on their way to school in the morning and found out that the boy love another girl. So this 5 year old daughter's mom now know that the reason her daughter didn't want to go to school and had been eating so much these days is because that she was hurt and got so stressed.

That night, her mom told hubby what happened to their daughter, and hubby was upset and told her that he already didn't like their daughter's boyfriend in his mind. He then comforted his daughter by giving her yogurt, so the girl felt better after that.

The listener ends her message with a question that a 5 year old kid already had a boyfriend and fell in love... What is Ggong uncle doing? (* Listener was trying to say what is Ggong doing not falling in love when her 5 year old daughter already did.)

Then Ggong said, "I thought so! You intended to say this... haha... if the 5 year old get married in the future, her dad would cry after passing her hand to her husband during the wedding ceremony."
