[30-May-2009] Summary for Ggong's 20s - Thursday, 21-May-2009 (200th day broadcast)

Today is the 200th day of Ggong's 20s. Tomorrow will also be just 200 days left till Ggong finish his MS. Ggong expressed his thanks to all Ggong's 20s listeners because they were with him since the very first day of the show.

First song is "I Like You" by Jewelry (scenarist chose this song for Ggong because there is You in the lyrics.)

Ggong described the studio. There are 8 balloons on the mic, so he feels like flying... and some fans sent a bunch of 200 roses today. So the studio is filled with flowers with very strong smell. He can see decoration of letters/characters which reads "Congratulations" on the wall. He felt calm today, but when he sees the decoration and listening to the first song in the studio, he became light-hearted. And this evening's radio atmosphere will be free and expect something unusual to happen.


Second song is Kim Dong Ryul's "Start", which was played as the first song in the very first broadcast.

There will be many listeners connecting through the phone this evening, and each of them will have only ONE minute to talk. So, if listeners managed to get connected, they will have to say something quickly within 1 minute.

Today's radio concept is "Break from the regular form of broadcast". They will be calling many and unspecified listeners who sent SMS, without any notice call from scenarists.

So Ggong got to speak with over 12 listeners....

During one call, Ggong teased the listener pretending to be KFN's scenarist. The listener didn't notice it was Ggong's voice and said that she's too nervous. So, she didn't want to connect on the phone with Ggong, eventhough she was already talking to DJ Ggong on the phone. kekeke.


Session with Tearliner

The first song Ggong sang is Kim Yun Woo's "내가 너의 곁에 잠시 살았다는 걸 " (Living/Staying with you for a while....). The lyrics is about friendship.
Ggong/ I prepared this song whole day. Then, ahhh... my voice gets husky...
(a while later) Ggong/ Now, it's ok...


Second song is Kim Yun Woo's "나는 사랑을 모르나봐요" ( I don't seem to know what love is.. ) from CP OST.
Ggong really likes this song, so he wants to sing it. He made some mistakes..
Ggong/ Live singing is difficult for me... where was I?

They stopped for a while and changed to another song.
Ggong/ What should I do when I have the 300th day?

Tearliner wanted Ggong to sing one whole song continuously before next song.

Ggong said he likes to sing an English song, but doesn't know the lyrics.
Therefore, while Tearliner sings, scenarist will search a song lyrics for Ggong. Tearliner sang his English song. He also forget the lyrics and replace with some wordings related to 200th day celebration.

From 1 to 200....
I thought of many things about this and that for the whole day, thinking from 1st to 200th..

"200" is a much more number than I thought.
Today, I realised that before reaching the number "200", there's almost no work that I can do steadily every single day.
If I work on something for 2 hours everyday, consistently, I would be able to accomplish everything..
If I have that kind of attitude, there would be nothing (that I cannot do).

With this, Ggong's 20s makes me become a person who is able to do something.
There are times when I just want enjoy the calm feeling, playing and listening to the songs during broadcast, but now, my body automatically moves like a clock, recognizing 20hrs.
Ggong's 20s always teaches me without scolding myself who really cannot do one thing steadily.

[26-May-2009] Summary for Ggong's 20s - Monday, 25-May-2009

Ggong reads aorly's message about her car parked just outside her house being bumped by another car driven by a drunk driver.
Ggong commented that he himself and all listeners should keep in mind about driving after we got drunk. It's a relief that she (aorly) wasn't hurt eventhough her car was hit. Ggong then made a promise (about keeping drunk driving in mind) by holding his last finger, then saying like stamped and then signed. (This is a sort of procedure for Korean when we keep promise to each other)

Psy's counseling session

Due to the incident of Korea's president, Psy try to speak calmly during counseling this evening. He brought some songs which is related to the recent happening in Korea and will play 6 songs tonight.

First counseling is about a hubby who doesn't want his wife to put on outfits like miniskirt and skinny things.
Ggong commented that he likes skinny clothes, but not sure if he will treat his wife that way.
Then, Psy added saying, "You are really the one who has the potential to tell your wife not to put on that kind of clothing, saying like 'For who do you put those clothes on to show?".
Ggong doesn't like to dress unfashionably, but he will not say don't wear those outfits. He don't mind her wearing miniskirts, etc... but personally, he doesn't like country/rustic style.

SMS from listener about her hubby always come home very late, sometimes even early in the morning because he enjoys the billiard game. Ggong read the last sentence of the SMS - "Psy Ssam!! Please help me...", expressing it with a cute voice. He then say that Psy should wear an outfit with the letter "S" (Superman).
Then Psy said that he cannot play the billiard game well. Ggong told him that it is good for him because if he can play the game, he could be more crazy..
Psy gave counseling to the listener saying "Buy a billiard table and put it in the living room at home. Then he can come home early.".
Ggong add that if the couple have billiard table at home, then they will have the feeling of love again, because some sort of touch could be needed in the game. Hubby may need to hug back and hold his wife to teach her how to do it. Therefore, they will have feeling of love again through the game and they might have the second, third and forth baby. haha!! It will be good for them to enjoy together through the healthy sports game.
Ggong said that Psy's counseling is realistic, but his own answer is a little bit extreme. Then Psy added that if his answer is like drama, then Ggong's answer will be like sitcom.

Psy will finish his MS on 11th July. So, Psy mentioned that he should ask the scenarist when his session will finish.

SMS/ Who is Psy Ssam? I'm listening to this Ggong's 20s for the first time. haha.
Psy's reacted that this SMS is sad for him while he has to decide when his last session will be.

[29-May-2009] Summary for Ggong's 20s - Tuesday, 26-May-2009

After reading a listener's message related to prejudices, Ggong tells his story.

During his earlier army life in Cheolwon, Ggong didn't like that there were many soldiers who have strong prejudices towards him as a popular celebrity. For example, when he was just eating burger, all the others looked at him as if they are looking at a monkey. Ggong was very busy getting rid of their thoughts by saying, "I'm just a person like your neighbor hyung."
Therefore, Ggong tried hard to stop their prejudice thinking towards him, even to the extent of saying bad words to show them that he is not Han Kyul in drama, but just the normal person, 공지철.

There was also one day when he went to a church in Cheolwon to avoid other soldiers requesting for his autograph, attention from people, etc. At that time, the church's priest allowed Ggong to stay with him, eating pork cutlet together, turning others away for the whole day.
At that time, Ggong's junior soldier also set the table with nice fork, spoon and plate for Ggong only. So Ggong shouted to him, "I'm just a common soldier also. Why do you set the table for me again?" The junior answered him, "I thought you are one who always eats at a good table.". Ggong then replied to the junior, "You saw me wrong way. After the song "Human is more beautiful than flower" by An Chi Wan was played....
HYS asked Ggong which flower does he like the most.
Ggong replied that he likes red rose the most because it looks sexy and red rose is the most basic/common among all the other roses. He added that he feels a bit embarrassed because she asked him the question suddenly. He also said that although we can see many new breeds/types of roses, but the red is the original.
Then HYS said that she likes babies breath flower and Ggong also likes that flower as well. HYS likes the flower because it can help other flowers look better. Ggong reacted, "Wow! That's a good reason.. So, let's become that type of people.". Scenarists outside the studio wrote through the monitor, "Ggong! Please make us look better."

Picking an SMS to make a phone call...
Ggong said there is one SMS that caught his eyes this evening eventhough he already has other SMS that the scenarist picked in advance.
The SMS: "I have been sending SMS everyday, but until now Ggong never read it. Eventhough Ggong never read my SMS, then what kind of person am I? The first answer, I'm just a prideless person, the second I'm just indecisive person and the third I'm one who loves Ggong's 20s very much... aigoo... Poor me..."

After Ggong read it, he suggested to HYS to call this listener. When the call got through, Ggong said to her jokingly, "Perhaps... Do you happened to be the prideless listener?" When the listener didn't notice it was Ggong, he continued, "Are you the the listener who loves Ggong's 20s?" keke..

This listener was so surprised and very happy.

Ggong also added through the phone that although all the SMS which came in during broadcast will not be read, but he has been trying to read them. They don't have much time to read that many SMS, about 300 messages/text. Therefore, he hopes that all listeners will not be disappointed with this. Only message being read through broadcast is not important, he thinks that communications between listeners and himself is more important.

[30-May-2009] Summary for Ggong's 20s - Thursday, 28-May-2009

After the song "Love You, Don't Love (you)" by Kim Yeon Woo was played, Ggong mentioned that he had wanted to sing this song during his 200th day broadcast because he likes this singer and the song and he would love to sing it, but all his songs are difficult as it need long breath to sing. So, Ggong wasn't able to do it.

Session with Tearliner and guest
Ggong recalled the 200th day broadcast and said that fans may love Tearliner more now after that broadcast.

Tonight Tearliner brought the indie band "Old Fish" to the session. One of them is Looloo and the other is Soda. Looloo's girlfriend suggested their name recently.

Looloo came wearing soldier uniform (because he had training today. He actually completed his MS already, but men who completed MS will still have to go for training over some period of time/until a certain age). Looloo, who was a member of another indie band "어른아이(Adult child)" had composed the song "Star" which was played as background music during Han Kyul's kissing scene in the drama "Coffee Prince".

First song played for this session is "Stay". The guest actually wanted to sing live, but because of the recent atmosphere/happenings, he didn't get to do it.

Soda and his girlfriend saw Ggong when he was eating "삼계탕" (/Samgyetang/ Ginseng chicken soup) at a well-known restaurant during CP's filming. She also got Ggong's autograph. After that, his girlfriend was picked suddenly on the street around Gangnam area to appear in CP as someone who is just passing by the road side.

Talking about the song "Stay", they love the song the most because one of them had lost artworks he did with his computer when something went wrong and all his files were gone.

Looloo seems to be fat and big, so he has difficultly finding suitable clothes for himself. Ggong then told him that he may be able to find some if he go to Lee Tae Won (an area with many shopping place and restaurants for foreigners).


SMS from a listener... She said that she saw this guest's album "Love Song", but she wasn't able to get it. Then, Tearliner replied that it was sold out, but if the listener wants to listen to it, she can send in her email, then he will send the song to her in MP3 format.


A listener sent some flower photo through SMS for Tearliner because he made Ggong sing on the 200th day.

Old Fish's song "Da E Jo Boo [大丈夫]" (Meaning that it's ok ) was played...


Talking about concert schedule...
Since they had been to Europe a few days ago for a short trip, Ggong said, "Ahhhh... so that's why you must have many concert schedule. So all listeners, please go and attend the concert.. they will have concert at the around Hong Ik University area and some cafe".

Tearliner envied the guest's lifestyle... can travel freely.. then come back to work hard again.
