1. Message from listener "Candy and ice cream"
This listener has a friend who wants to do plastic surgery with her eyes, so she went along with her friend. The doctor recommended her (listener) to have plastic surgery on the nose. Actually, she doesn't have any complaint about her face, but she got confused by the doctor's recommendation that she will have a more pretty image, and he will offer discount for her if she go for surgery together with her friend.

Ggong made a comment that he doesn't want her to have the surgery.. Being natural is the best. If she have surgery on her nose as the doctor said, then her image could become so much different with a very artificial face or scaring her face. Afterall, she doesn't go for surgery before this because she's satisfied and has no problem with her face. Ggong also doesn't like to hear of the doctor luring her with discount. So, he hopes that she does not go for surgery... Just keep the beauty of her nose as it is natural.


2. A Japanese fan (hiromi) asked Ggong how he was able to catch that she's studying Korean eventhough she didn't mention it.
Ggong said that when reading a message written in Korean trying to express her heart putting her effort for suitable grammar even if it is a little bit weird, we can quickly know the message is from abroad.. whether it is written with help from translator in internet, or written with help from a Korean, or it is expressed by international listener doing self-study trying to fit in the Korean words.

Talking about Ggong's 20s song~
Ggong mentioned that the last part of the song lyrics for "공기20시" was sung by himself together with JY. JY was singing the base part for harmony trying to make him look better, so the song sounds better. Ggong said that many people doesn't seem to catch that because they seemed to think that part was sung by himself only, and not together. JY sang the 공기 20시 lyrics part with his sexy voice. So Ggong mimicked JY's voice and mentioned that one day he will treat JY some soju. Then JY reacted "You have ears for music and remember! With the expensive soju please "..

The singer introduced this evening is Sin Joong Hyun. He was called the "Father of Rock" and "Legend of Rock" in Korea. At that time, many famous singers worked at the U.S. Armend Forces' club stationed in Korea. SJH's club owner received a suggestion letter from U.S.A. instead of SJH himself, inviting SJH to release an album, but the owner didn't inform him. Because without SJH, the club will not be doing good. He was also invited to release his album in Japan but with condition that he becomes a Japanese citizen. He refused the offer.

Then around 1980, many musicians in Korea was restricted to express their music freely. So rock music genre wasn't able to keep going. Many singers in Korea was influenced by his music.

Since time is up, JY was not able to finish talking about SJH in just one show. So, Ggong suggested to JY that they will continue to talk about Sir SJH when he gets to treat JY expensive soju. Maybe there will be many unpleasant words about the restricted situation for music, thus Ggong will record their talking while drinking, then do a proper edit and have a special broadcast for it someday. JY wants to leave SJH as a mystic today, but Ggong mentioned again, "I'll lure you to talk about him when we go out for a drink then.. "

Session with Park Na Rae
Before the song "팥빙수" (pot-bing-soo) by Yoon Jong Shin was played, PNR said to listeners, "if someone send me 팥빙수, I will let you know where Ggong will go to on his next leave".


Session with Jung Yup
This evening's guest is singer Kang San Ae (born in1965)
KSA's song "라구요" was sung by Ggong already in 100th day. This song "라구요" is of folk-rock genre and the lyrics is about sad feeling about separation between North and South Korea where a father misses his family.

KSA entered 경희대 (Kyung Hee University that Ggong also graduated from) majoring in Oriental medicine but he left the university voluntarily. So, Ggong said that he envy KSA very much.. If only he (Ggong) could graduate and major in that subject.... Ggong then joked, "If KSA didn't get to graduate with the major, it would be good to pass the major to me instead." So JY asked Ggong, "Do you regret now not majoring in that subject?"

KSA also graduated from Dong Rae high school where Ggong also wanted to enter. The school was located in Busan, Ggong's hometown. Ggong was able to hear KSA's singing from the school because he was singing with very loud voice.
During Ggong's high school festival, he was able to see KSA face to face. He felt that KSA looked simple yet special because he has long hair, handsome and has some charisma, eventhough he was not that tall.

The song "와그라노" (Why do you say/do again) was sung in Busan dialect. JY likes this song, so he choose this. JY commented that his trial with dialect is a good idea and fresh.

KSA also went to Japan to sing.

Ggong commented that he feels KSA's honesty and seriousness for his music. Other critics mentioned that his music is like pure natural food without any MSG/seasoning. Many people have come to love KSA's representative song "넌 할 수 있어" ( You can do it ).

[03-July-2009] Summary for Ggong's 20s - Monday, 29-June-2009

Psy counseling session

During the beginning of the session, Ggong said that he seemed to feel Psy's feeling today, because he himself also felt a little bit sad because he had to handover as Best Music's MC to his junior today.

Psy received some gifts from Ggong's fans, so he was very touched. He received a cap with the letters "Ssa Sam" embroidered on it, but it was a little bit too tight. There were also hair band and baby clothes (t-shirts) for his twin baby girls. (It was made by two fans who are always sending homemade gifts together as duet). And this two fans also sent some big balloons to the studio congratulating Psy for completing his MS. He also got a CD fan made for him, containing his first counseling session till now. He was very pleased with that as he will be able to bring those home happily. Psy seems to say to Ggong this afternoon, "Your fans are better than you." They laughed.

Psy felt a little bit sad/touched because this is the first time he became a guest for a long time in one show since he became a singer.

SMS from a listener saying that she wants to get a morning call with the sound of PSY's fighting.
So, Psy shouted "brazile".

SMS/ How can we approach Ggong?
Psy replied that he felt Ggong is quite a stubborn and logical person. Therefore, he recommend listener to be persistant in their ideas, illogically, continuously. If not, you will get to keep just arguing with Ggong due to his stubborness and logic. So you should persist in your ideas illogically. Then, He will give up and in the end, he will even say "I'm sorry".

SMS/ I was really able to enjoy every Monday during Psy's session. Thank you so much.

SMS/ You will have Ggong in your concert this December, right?
Psy/ "Oh!! You remember... You can constantly persists on that idea... that's it.. that's it.. Maybe Ggong will, if you are persistant.

Psy/ This time, you (Ggong) will also sing the song "confession" (at my concert)?(Notice Psy's intended comment)
Ggong/ No, I will not sing that song again. From now on, I will not sing in public the same song that I already sang once.

SMS/ Psy ssam ah!! Very sorry... Ggong is such an awesome man... So I'm not able to leave Ggong. If I'm being born again, I will be your fan. Surely I will be your passionate fan then.


First counseling is about obstination/stubborness.
Ggong mentioned that he's scared of people who is constantly/persistant in asking question firmly/stubbornly, just like Psy ssam. Psy then commented that Ggong also have that persisting side , and people who have the persisting sides tends to go well together. So Ggong and this listener! Don't worry and I also seemed to have that character.. Let's keep fighting!!


Second counseling
This listener's hubby is actually a very gentle and good man. But one night, she found that he was watching some porno film. So, he knelt down before her and apologized. She was very surprised with his behavior.
Psy and Ggong gave her some advice...
Ggong/ Perhaps you should compliment him by tapping his butt.. thinking, "Ahhhh.. You are trying to do that way by watching the video..."
Psy/ You should say to him later, "Let's watch the film together.".


Towards the end of the session, while they choose Psy's last song...
From tomorrow onwards, Psy will have his last leave, but he will have his concert as his last duty in the army.

[02-July-2009] Summary for Ggong's 20s - Tuesday, 30-June-2009

Ggong reads a message about the Korean word "지지" (/ji -ji/ means "dirty"). This word is used especially to warn kids of something dirty that is not to be touched/eaten. The message was about the listener's son was able to say "지지" when he heard the song "G" by Girls' Generation. So, her son referred to the song as "ji ji" song whenever he hears it.

Then Ggong mentioned that when he sees his dog, ggong ji is about to eat something dirty, he tends to say "ji ji!" and "s.h.i.t!"With that, it leads him to mention about the gift (dog treat) he received today.

Ggong said that this sender/listener seemed to hear from Ggong's 20s that ggong ji and himself didn't get along very well as before, so she sent these stuffs for us. MyQ (another soldier in their camp) told Ggong that the stuffs is for dogs and human. Then, the letter's content mention about ggong ji and his (Ggong) relationship.. So MyQ helped Ggong to check the letter and gift and says that it can be shared with dog and human, and that these days we can find those kind of stuff. Therefore, Ggong was able to laugh heartily today.

Anyway, Ggong also said, "The next time I go on leave, I will give the dog treat to ggong ji. Ahhh..! It is very lucky dog!! It must be very happy to know it has a very good owner." So, Ggong understood the letter's content that this sender hopes that it will be more friendly through sharing the stuffs together.

This morning, Ggong had hiccups so many times and he didn't even think he would hiccup during live broadcast. He had to control his laugh while reading the news.
